Finding New Roads with the 2017 Chevrolet Trax
This subcompact crossover comes in either front- or all-wheel drive (AWD) to suit your preference. The Trax is all about driver convenience, and you’ll find that in standard features like full power accessories, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, and the Chevrolet MyLink user interface with its 7-inch touchscreen and integrated smartphone apps.
But it’s more than just convenience–there are a load of features here to connect you with the Trax too, like Siri Eyes Free control which lets you use your iPhone with your voice.
A turbocharged 1.4-litre four-cylinder engine powers the 2017 Chevy Trax, producing 138 horsepower and 148 pound-feet of torque–plenty for driving throughout Saskatchewan, and then some. With a highway fuel efficiency of 7.1L/100km you can go further in the 2017 Trax.
A nimble, tighter size also means better fuel economy figures, and higher performance. The 2017 Chevy Trax’s performance is everything you’d hope for in a subcompact SUV
You’re going to find a lot of standard safety features here with the Chevrolet Trax, including traction and stability control; front disc and rear drum brakes (four-wheel disc brakes with AWD); and side, side curtain, and knee airbags. The Trax goes further with its 10 standard airbags,
Crash prevention is an important theme with the Trax. Automatic headlights and a rearview camera are also standard, and GM’s OnStar telematics system helps you monitor your speed and offers roadside assistance should you need it.
All this means the new 2017 Chevrolet Trax has received a top, five-star distinction in overall government crash tests. The Trax is one of the safest vehicles on the road for 2017 with its optional active safety technologies, and we welcome you to Wheaton Chevrolet to get a feel for it yourself in a test drive!
Design and Features
The seating is roomy and the space is aplenty. The 60/40-split-folding rear seats offer eight seating configurations and plenty of space in the back. A fold-flat front passenger seat lets you fit furniture or your bike without any trouble at all, with room for something up to 2.4m (8ft) long.
The MyLink interface links directly with your smartphone, giving you access to its apps and media via the Trax’s 7-inch touchscreen. You can even use the touchscreen with the BringGo nav app for your iPhone or Android phone for full navigation functionality, including access to traffic data and point-of-interest searches!
